Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Dunne last contacted his family on March 18, 2017. He frequented the Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona areas at the time of his disappearance, and was staying in a homeless shelter in Phoenix. He would contact his mother in Montana every couple of months, but then the calls suddenly stopped and he has never been heard from again.
According to Dunne's family, he was a "free spirit" who worked odd jobs and was sometimes homeless as he struggled with his mental illness. His family would offer him help, but he always refused it. Foul play is not suspected in Dunne's disappearance, but given the lack of evidence authorities are concerned for his safety. His case remains unsolved.
