Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Pankey disappeared while on a camping trip in Idaho County, Idaho on April 15, 2018. In May 2019, her remains were found near Buffalo Eddy in the Snake River in Nez Perce County, Idaho. Her death is under investigation. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons.
