Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Blond hair, blue eyes. Tyler had a mustache and goatee at the time of his disappearance. He has multiple tattoos on his right arm; a photo of some of them is posted with this case summary.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Tyler was last seen leaving his sister's house in Hyden, Kentucky at 8:15 p.m. on June 24, 2018. He was last seen driving south on Kentucky 421. His cellular phone last pinged from Mozelle, Kentucky, and this is the last indication of his whereabouts. He didn't show up for his shift at work the next day and has never been heard from again.
On July 1, Tyler's vehicle, a dark gray 2003 Dodge Dakota with a push bar, fog lights and a chrome toolbox, was found abandoned and burned in a field off a strip mine road near Warbranch, Kentucky, just off Kentucky 1850. There was no indication of his whereabouts.
According to his family, Tyler wasn't involved with drugs, didn't have a high risk lifestyle and had a reputation as a hard worker who didn't cause trouble. The only problem in his life was his relationship with his estranged wife, Lena Michelle North, and her new boyfriend, Jeremy Lewis, a who was then a deputy with the Leslie County Sheriff's Office. Lena and Tyler were legally separated at the time of his disappearance and their divorce went through later. Tyler fought with Lena over visitation and custody issues regarding their daughter.
Photos of Lena and Lewis are posted with this case summary. In October 2020 both were arrested and charged with Tyler's murder. Investigators stated electronic evidence and video footAge at the time of disappearance: placed both of them at the scene of Tyler's disappearance. The two suspects are awaiting trial.
Foul play is suspected in Tyler's disappearance due to the circumstances involved. His body has never been found.
