Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Wafiq was abducted by his non-custodial father from Denver, Colorado on February 20, 2009. His father took him to Jordan. After Wafiq reached the Age at the time of disappearance: where he could legally decide for himself which parent he wanted to live with, he chose his mother.
