He has never been heard from again, and his black 2000 Mitsubishi Montero was found abandoned in the parking lot of the Scottsbluff YMCA. Authorities believe Patterson-Black may have intentionally gone into the North Platte River, which was swollen with rain at the time. His body has never been found.
